The Spaniards first settled in Taiwan in the 17th Century (The Age of Great Navigation), notably occupying Keelung in northern Taiwan. Their first fortress, San Salvador, was built on Heping Island as a base for colonization, serving as a center of culture, architecture, humanities and history. In this film, archaeologists excavate San Salvador and reveal its historical and cultural significance.
