It was the middle of summer. The sun rose high up in the sky, and shone with all his might. It was so hot that Little Goat stayed in bed and did not go out to play. He only wanted to lie down in front of his fan. Suddenly, Little Goat heard someone call, it was Uncle Bear, the popsicle man, who shouted,“Yummy popsicles! Sweet and icy popsicles!”Little Goat jumped out of bed and ran to Uncle Bear.“Uncle Bear,” he said, “I would like to buy some popsicles. What flavors do you have?”Uncle Bear smiled and said,“I have strawberry, mango and grape flavored popsicles.”Little Goat said excitedly,“I would like one of each, please!”After buying the popsicles, Little Goat ran home and ate them all up.

After a while, Mama Goat came home and saw Little Goat moaning in bed. She asked Little Goat worriedly,“My child, are you feeling unwell? What happened?”Little Goat replied,“Mama, my tummy hurts.”Mama Goat quickly took Little Goat to see Doctor Monkey. After examining Little Goat, Doctor Monkey asked,“Did you eat something today?”Little Goat replied sheepishly,“I ate three popsicles just now.”Doctor Monkey laughed and said,“You have had too many popsicles! No wonder you have a tummy ache. Take some medicine and you will be fine. Remember to eat in moderation during summer, and make sure that the food is clean. Or your tummy will ache again. Remember: illness enters (the body) through the mouth!”Little Goat blushed and said,“Thank you, Doctor Monkey, I shall remember to pay attention to what I eat. And I will not carelessly eat outside food.”

　　炎熱的夏天到了，太陽高高掛在天上，散發出強烈的熱光，在家裡休息的小山羊熱到一點都不想動，躺在床上吹電風扇。這時候，小山羊突然聽到窗外傳來叫賣聲，原來是賣冰棒的熊叔叔在大喊著：「好吃的冰棒啊！又冰又涼的冰棒啊！」小山羊一聽趕快從床上爬起來，衝出家門跑到熊叔叔前面說：「熊叔叔，我要買冰棒，有哪些口味呢？」熊叔叔回答說：「有草莓、芒果還有葡萄口味」小山羊興奮的說：「我每個口味都要。」小山羊拿到冰棒後就趕緊回家，他開心的把三支冰棒一口氣都吃完了。
　　過了一會兒，山羊媽媽買菜回來了，卻看到小山羊躺在床上呻吟，著急的問說：「孩子，你是身體哪裡不舒服呢？告訴媽媽。」小山羊說：「媽媽，我的肚子好疼。」山羊媽媽趕緊帶著小山羊去看猴子醫生，猴子醫生檢查之後，問小山羊說：「你是不是有吃什麼東西呢？」小山羊小聲的說：「我剛剛吃了三支水果冰棒。」猴子醫生笑著說：「那是因為吃太多的冰棒，才會讓肚子不舒服，吃點藥就好了，夏天吃東西時，不可以過量，還要注意食物的衛生，不然肚子又會不舒服了，一定要記住『病從口入』。」小山羊不好意思的說：「謝謝醫生，我知道了。以後吃東西的時候會特別注意，不敢隨便買路邊的東西吃了。」
