There was once a clever little fox who went to Forest Elementary School. He was so clever that he could remember everything that Teacher Goat taught in class. Because the clever little fox had such a good memory, he always won first place in class. His classmates also asked him for help whenever they had problems with their homework. Realizing that he was the smartest student in class, the little fox grew proud and haughty, and began to make fun of other students.
One day during class, Teacher Goat asked Little Boar to answer a question. Little Boar thought for a while, but he still did not know the answer. Little Boar almost cried in frustration. Suddenly, the little fox laughed loudly and said,“Hahaha! Little Boar, you don’t know how to answer such a simple question! You are so stupid!” Little Boar felt so sad and began to cry.
One month later, the students of Forest Elementary School took an examination. The next day, Teacher Goat announced,“Most of you did well in this examination. Even Little Boar showed great improvement! He scored eighty. However, Little Fox did not do as well as expected. He only scored sixty.”
The Little Fox was very surprised. He hurriedly asked,“But Teacher Goat, the questions of this examination were very easy, I knew how to answer all of it. Why did I only score sixty?” Teacher Goat replied,“Even though the questions were easy for you, you forgot to turn over the page and answer the questions on the back. Little Fox, no matter how smart or careful someone is, everyone makes mistakes sometimes. I hope you remember your lesson, and stop being proud and arrogant. Do not make fun of your classmates anymore.”
