Introduction: The backstage music of the glove puppetry (Budaixi) show plays a pivotal role in the overall performance. Compared with the gentle and elegant Nanguan music, the lively Beiguan music is currently mainly adopted for glove puppetry shows. This episode introduces common musical instruments for glove puppetry shows such as bangu (wooden clappers), big and small gongs and so on. Different musical instruments have different rhythms that can be applied in different scenes to create different dramatic effects.
