Introduction: Taiwanese glove puppetry (Budaixi) is a unique form of performance art in Taiwan, with the performance style developed through various ages. The puppets have different roles such as Sheng, Dan, Jing, Mo, Chou and Za, with widely different appearance, costume, personality and stage pose. Each role has its own poetry that has to be read when first making an appearance to convey the character’s personality and add a dramatic element.

簡介：臺灣布袋戲是臺灣特有的表演藝術，其演出型態歷經各年代的發展而發揚光大；戲偶有生旦淨末丑雜等不同角色，其形貌、服裝、性格及出場亮相的動作都大不相同，各種角色出場有各自的定場詩，以表現角色的個性，並增添戲劇效果。
