Introduction: Paper-cutting emphasizes continuity, repetition, symmetry and harmony. This art form creates unexpected outlines and rich variations. In addition to overt cuts (yang cut) and flat cuts, this episode also introduces the techniques of nine-fold and color-separated paper-cutting, as well as demonstrating the basic steps of folding and cutting the characters “beauty” and “good.” The colors of the characters are brighter than the background, with the finished product presenting the beauty of traditional paper art.
