Once upon a time, a little tiger met a little goat, and they played happily together all day. When evening came, they reluctantly said goodbye to each other. When Little Tiger got home, he told Mama Tiger about his new friend. Mama Tiger said angrily, "Silly child, goats are our prey! How could you play with him?" Little Tiger asked, "What should I do, mama?" Mama Tiger said, "You should ask Little Goat to come out and play with you tomorrow, then you should kill him and bring him back to our den. This is what tigers do!" Little Tiger nodded his head.

At the same time, Little Goat got home and told Mama Goat about his new friend. Mama Goat bleated and said fearfully, "Dear child, you cannot play with tigers. They are our enemy!" Little Goat said sadly, "But we had such a good time playing together!" Mama Goat said, "When Little Tiger asks you to come out and play tomorrow, he will surely want to have you for dinner! If you see him, you should run away immediately. This is what goats do." Little Goat nodded his head.

The next day, Little Tiger came to Little Goat's house and shouted, "Hello Little Goat! Come out and play!" Little Goat stayed inside and yelled, "My mother said I cannot come play with you, so, I cannot come out." Little Tiger had no choice but to go home. When Mama Tiger saw him, she asked, "Where is Little Goat?" Little Tiger replied, "Little Goat already knows what I want to do, so he will not play with me anymore."

　　有一天，小老虎在山坡上遇見了小山羊，他們一起開心地玩耍，一直玩到傍晚才依依不捨地互相道別。小老虎回到家後，告訴媽媽他和小山羊玩的事，老虎媽媽生氣地說：「你這個傻孩子，小山羊是我們的獵物，你怎麼可以跟他玩？」小老虎就問：「媽媽，那我要怎麼做才好？」老虎媽媽回答：「明天你約小山羊出來玩，趁機將他殺死，然後拖到洞裡來，這才是老虎的本性！」小老虎明白地點了點頭。

　　同時，小山羊回到家，向媽媽說他和小老虎一起玩，山羊媽媽聽了以後，害怕地說：「孩子，你不能和老虎玩，他是我們的敵人呀！」小山羊疑惑地回答：「可是我跟他玩得很開心呀！」山羊媽媽說：「他明天約你出去玩，一定會把你帶回洞裡當晚餐，以後你看到他要立刻逃走，這才是山羊的本性。」小山羊聽話地點了點頭。

隔天，小老虎來到小山羊的家門前，大喊著：「小山羊，我們出來玩吧！」屋子裡的小山羊回答：「我媽媽說不可以跟你玩，所以我不能出去。」小老虎只好返回洞裡，老虎媽媽看到他回來，趕緊問他：「小山羊呢？」小老虎說：「他已經知道我想做什麼了，所以不會再跟我玩了。」
