Once upon a time, there was a little frog who lived in an ancient well. Every day, he sunbathed by the well, and swam in the well water. If he was hungry, he caught some bugs to eat. He lived a happy life.

One day, he met a great sea turtle. The little frog told the great sea turtle about his happy life, and invited the turtle to visit his well.

"There is no place as grand as my home", said the little frog proudly. "I feel happy and free!" The great turtle was excited to hear this, and tried to follow the little frog into the well. But the well was too small, and the great turtle could not fit inside.

The great turtle smiled at the frog and said, "My home is the sea. I do not know how large it is, but if there is a thunderstorm, the water level will not rise. If there is a drought, the water level will not fall. It has been so, since ancient times. I do not think it will change in the future! When I swim in the sea, I feel so happy and free!"

The little frog was amazed. He realized how small his well was. The great sea turtle waved goodbye to the little frog, and continued his journey.

　　很久很久以前，有一隻小青蛙，住在一口古井裡。牠每天不是在井邊曬太陽，就是在水裡游泳，餓了就抓點蟲子來吃，日子過得非常快樂。

　　有一天，牠遇到一隻從大海來的大烏龜，小青蛙很熱情地和大烏龜聊著自己愉快的生活，還邀大烏龜到井裡坐坐。

　　「我想，就算是神仙，也沒有我過得自由自在呀！」小青蛙說。大烏龜聽了，就高高興興地跟小青蛙進入古井。可是，大烏龜的身體才進了井口，就再也不能動了。

　　 大烏龜對小青蛙笑了笑，才慢慢地退出古井。牠說：「我的家在大海，它有多大，我不知道。我只能說如果有水災，它的水量不會增加，如果有旱災，它的水量也不會減少。自古以來，就是如此，未來，我想也不會改變吧！你說，在大海裡，該有多快樂呀！」

　　小青蛙聽呆了，才知道自己的世界是多麼的小，大烏龜揮了揮手，又繼續牠的旅行。
